4.2 50 - 52 MHz BANDPLAN
This bandplan, first adopted at the IARU Region 1 Conference in Torremolinos (1990) and revised at the 1996 Tel Aviv conference, the 2002 San Marino Conference, and the 2011 Sun City Conference is recommended for use in those countries in the European part of Region 1 which allow amateurs to operate in this part of the radio spectrum. In many countries in the African part of Region 1 (see footnotes accompanying the ITU frequency allocation table) the 50 - 54 MHz band is allocated to the Amateur Service on a primary basis. These Countries may refer to the SARL Bandplan.

*(2) 5m band allocation process:
- IRC-1927: 56-60 MHz Amateurs ot experiences.
- IRC-1947: 56-60 MHz Closed to amateur.

*(3) 4m band allocation process:
- Before World War II, British radio amateurs had been allocated a band at 56 MHz. After the war,  5-metre band (58.5–60 MHz).
- From 1948 to 1961, 72-72.8 MHz was allocated to France.
- 1956 Great Britain 4-meter band 70.2 to 70.4 MHz, then 70.025-70.7 MHz.
- ECC 2021-2022 / EN 301 783: 69.9-70.5 MHz
- The 4 meter band is currently allocated 70.0–70.5 MHz.

4.3 70.0 - 70.5 MHz BANDPLAN
The 70MHz band is increasingly recognised as being appropriate for amateur allocations. In the CEPT area this progress is now recognised in the European Table of Frequency Allocations by Footnote EU9 which states:
EU9: In a growing number of CEPT countries, parts of the band 70.0-70.5 MHz are also allocated to the Amateur service on a secondary basis.

- 4 metre amatör bandı (70.0–70.5 MHz) ITU / IARU Region 1’e tahsis edilmiş olup, Türkiye hariç otuz Avrupa ülkesi ve diğer Region 1 ülke amatör telsizcilerinin kullanımına açılmıştır.
